In this onboarding tutorial, we'll go over how to gain holistic insights on your incidents through FireHydrant's Analytics Dashboard. This is a quick and easy way to both track key metrics on your incidents and see where you can improve.

You can start by navigating over to your Analytics Dashboard by clicking the Analytics tab within the FH UI navigation, or by clicking here.

Within the Analytics Dashboard, you'll be able to view two types of display reports:

  • Incidents
  • MTT* (mean time to X)

Incidents

Within the incidents display report, by default, you'll be able to see a holistic view of all the incidents you've had within the past 60 days (this time interval can be configured as much as you'd like).

MTT*

Within the MTT* display report, by default, you'll be able to see a holistic view of your MTTR (resolve), MTTD (detect), and MTTA (acknowledge) metrics from within the past 60 days (this time interval can be configured as much as you'd like).

Filtering

For both Incidents and MTT* display reports, you'll be able to take a deeper dive into your analytics using a plethora of filtering options:

  • Current Milestone
  • Severity
  • Teams
  • Labels
  • Date Range
  • Infrastructure (functionalities, services, or environments)
  • Unfinished Action Items

You'll also have the option to save a specific search for future use.

Summary

With FireHydrant's analytics dashboard, you'll now be able to keep track of many great insights like which services are being impacted, how certain teams are performing when resolving incidents, and more!

This marks the end of our Advanced Series. We'll now tie everything we've learned together, as well as end our onboarding tutorial with some final thoughts.
